Chairman's Message.

It is my absolute pleasure to write this as your new chairman. Those of you who were able to attend the AGM at Littlehampton will realise that I forgot one of the items on the agenda, my first speech! I promise I will try harder to get it right.

This year we have almost got an entirely new committee. This will present a few challenges as there will be a lot to learn. I am happy to tell you that I am looking forward to the future as I believe we have a fantastic group of people who are determined to carry on the good work of the past team and to make our centre the one people want to join.

I have chosen a new charity to support over the term you want me as your chairman. I am touched on an almost daily basis by a new story of how a close friend or acquaintance has been blighted by cancer. In an effort to try to prevent this, I hope you will share with me the sentiment that to rid our loved ones of this hideous disease is best served by donating money for research into the prevention of cancer. Therefore I am trying to raise a load of money for the Cancer Research charity which I believe is a worthwhile cause.

I believe we have a good rally programme for 2009 and I look forward to seeing you all on a rally field soon.
